Well, at this moment it is 8:00 AM (EDT) as this post is published and we’ve paused our Morning Brief for a day. One of us is on a road trip. And, we decided to wait and see what happens over the next twelve hours in Iran.

The President says he doesn’t want to do it, but if he doesn’t get a deal in Iran the United States military will destroy power plants and bridges across Iran in an attack lasting four hours.

So, we will see you tomorrow morning.

In much more joyous news, we celebrate the amazing accomplishments of those on and supporting the Artemis II mission. Here is a USA Today report this morning:

On Monday, April 6, the Artemis II crew pulled off a seven-hour lunar flyby, saw a side of the moon no human had ever seen before, witnessed a solar eclipse, and flew 252,756 miles away from Earth, the farthest any human being has ever gone.

So good to have something to celebrate!

It’s hard to ignore the daily twists and turns of the President’s thinking on Iran. Today, it seems to be get out even if the Strait of Hormuz is closed and let the countries in the region sort things out.
